The DEC VAX

After the PDP-11 came the VAX. It was quite a computer. It had a 32 bit processor and could access all of the memory you wanted. It's a little bit more modern. At least you could put the disk drives in the same rack as the CPU and memory. On these systems I also worked on image processing and plant tracking systems. I occasionally used VAX assembly language, but mainly C and PL/I. The control language DCL was also useful.
