Education

I graduated with honors in Mathematical Science from Purdue in 1980. I also had a minor in physics and nearly another minor in philosophy. I avoided computer science classes because they were just not very challenging to me. My focus was on such subjects as numerical analysis and operations research. Most of what I have learned about computer systems I have taught myself or attended short one week classes.

In the Army I was stationed in Germany with the 8th Infantry division as a behavioral science specialist. Quite a difference from systems work, but I learned a lot about people.
